Professor Margot Pollans joined the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹ֱ�� faculty in 2015. She is the Faculty Director of the �鶹ֱ�� Food Law Center, the Joseph P. D’Alessandro Faculty Scholar, and also served as the James D. Hopkins Professor of Law for the 2023–2025 academic years. Previously, she served as the Shamik and Adrienne Trivedi Faculty Scholar from 2020–2022. During her time at the Law School, she has been a leader in building the national reputation of the �鶹ֱ�� Food Law Center. Professor Pollans is an accomplished scholar whose primary research interests lie in the areas of food and agriculture law, environmental law, administrative law, and social justice and her academic work has appeared in a variety of prestigious journals.

For Amanda (Mandy) Howerton-Fox ’27, deciding to attend law school was not just a career shift—it was a natural continuation of her lifelong commitment to advocacy. A former teacher of the deaf, Mandy’s passion for special education and disability rights first led her to pursue a PhD and become a tenured professor of education. Now, she has embarked on a new path at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹ֱ��, with a goal of effecting change through law and policy while advocating for people directly.

Growing up, Samuel Carvalho ’25 LLM dreamed of being a diplomat, an ambition that led him to pursue a law degree at the Universidade Federal do Ceará in Fortaleza, Brazil. However, during his time pursuing an LLB, he had the opportunity to work alongside environmental organizations serving under-resourced communities. This experience was the beginning of a new passion for Samuel.

From student leader to future law clerk, Joe Seminara '25 proves that determination and mentorship go a long way in law school.

The youngest of seven, Kyle Davis-Edwards ’25 grew up in a loving, humble household where his parents held him to high expectations. “My parents enrolled me in a private high school with the expectation that I excel in the school’s top tier sports and academic programs,” shared Kyle. “While my parents were strict, it was their guidance that cultivated me into the disciplined and driven person I am today.”

The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹ֱ�� is excited to announce that Professor Rachel Rothschild has been selected to receive the 2025–2026 �鶹ֱ�� Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award. The Haub Environmental Law Distinguished Junior Scholar Award is presented annually to an emerging junior environmental law professor who exhibits scholarly excellence and promise at an early stage in their career. The Haub Environmental Law Faculty solicits nominations from law professors throughout the country and selects a recipient from that pool of nominations. The award recipient is invited to present his/her recent scholarship to the Haub Law community.

In July 2025, the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at �鶹ֱ�� welcomed students and faculty from O.P. Jindal Global University for an immersive academic experience focused on the intersection of corporate law and environmental sustainability.
