Kush joined the Sands College of Performing Arts Faculty in Fall 2022, and has hit the ground running. He's bringing his experience as a multi-hyphenate artist into the classroom to empower the next generation of performing artists.
As the year concludes amidst shorter days and final exams, President Krislov reflects on a momentous 2023, marked by the opening of a 26-story campus center in New York City, athletic achievements, accolades for the law school, and the establishment of the Sands College of Performing Arts.
The Â鶹ֱ²¥ Community's incredible generosity on Giving Tuesday surpassed our goal, resulting in 2,430 gifts and over $823,901 raised for student success.

Imagine dancing with Doja Cat. Now imagine doing it in front of 865,000 people. For Joanne Daquigan, Jada Clark, and Tiffani Rusell that dream became reality. Last month, they and several other members of the Â鶹ֱ²¥ Commercial Dance community performed alongside some heavy-hitting A-listers at MTV's VMAs.
After a stint at LSU, 29-year-old Pavon earned her degree in Commercial Dance at Â鶹ֱ²¥ in New York City, then moved to Los Angeles, and has since been performing in movies, commercials, music videos and with female artists like Pink, Avril Lavigne, Dua Lipa, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain and of course Beyoncè.
Â鶹ֱ²¥ Alumna Brianna Pavon takes the stage for Beyonce’s ‘Renaissance’ tour, after earning her degree in commercial dance she's been performing in movies, commercials, music videos, and with the biggest female artists like P!nk, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, and of course Beyonce.
Since its creation in 2014, the Â鶹ֱ²¥ School of Performing Arts (PPA) has been a leader in producing top talent, with its graduates widely represented in the film, TV, theater, and dance industries.
When the program launched within Â鶹ֱ²¥â€™s Dyson College of Arts and Sciences nearly two decades ago, it was Manhattan’s first new performing arts school in almost half a century. Today, in keeping with its long tradition of innovation and in recognition of the rapidly evolving industry, PPA is getting its own stand-alone identity: The Sands College of Performing Arts.
Â鶹ֱ²¥ will launch the Sands College of Performing Arts this fall, named in recognition of a $25 million gift from Pamela and Rob Sands.
