Faculty Bio

Veronika Dolar is an Associate Professor of Economics at Â鶹ֱ²¥ in New York. Her research focuses on labor economics, inequality, and applied microeconomics. She is a co-author of the widely used textbooks ECON Micro and ECON Macro (Cengage), which integrateempirical perspectives and critical approaches to traditional economic models. She is also the editor of the volume Missing Voices in Economics: Addressing the Gender Gap. Her recent projects examine how income inequality shapes Olympic performance, as well as issues of discrimination in Europeanbasketball leagues. A dedicated mentor, she advises the women in economicsstudent association and supervises undergraduate research, often co-authoringwith students and supporting their conference presentations.
